Hope Baptist Church

Our History

Hope Baptist LogoThe history of Hope Baptist Church is a short one.  Hope Baptist Church began as a desire in the heart of Pastor Steve Hall.  He was convinced that Butler County needed more sound, Scriptural churches.  He was also firmly convicted that the Lord’s churches have the authority to start churches.  In February 2012, Pastor Hall began to search for a church that would authorize a New Testament Baptist Church.  In March 2012, Addyston Baptist Church, led by Pastor David Pitman, agreed to a one-year internship for Pastor Hall with faith that the Lord and Addyston Baptist Church would support the establishment of Hope Baptist Church as an independent Baptist Church following the internship.

The internship proved to be a great blessing to the work.  Pastor Pitman and the people of Addyston Baptist Church will always have a special place in the hearts of the Hall family.  The Lord blessed with faithful families beginning to attend the weekly Bible studies that were established during the early days of the internship.

By God’s grace, in February 2013, Hope Baptist Church was established as an independent Baptist Church.  Pastor Hall was ordained to the gospel ministry at that time as well.

In November 2013, God gave us a permanent location in Fairfield, Ohio.  We had our first service at the new building on December 1st.  After many hours of work, including more than 200 gallons of paint, we have a home we are thankful to share.  Our desire is to be a blessing to Fairfield and reach souls with the gospel of Jesus Christ.  We want our church to be a place where believers can find answers, instructions, and HOPE!

While our story continues to be written, it is our prayer that God will be glorified, that sinners will come to faith in Jesus Christ and that families will be strengthened through the teaching of God’s Word.

Come join us and help us write the next chapter of Hope Baptist Church’s history!
